Britons over 50 are in desperate need of home repairs but new research shows they are unable to afford the cost to fix them.  If you need to pay for urgent repairs an early payday loan could provide the funds until your next pay day.

More than a third of over 50s according to Saga Personal Finance are struggling to find the extra cash for vital repairs with one in seven claiming they cannot afford it.

The recent report from the institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) stated that that the UK’s poorest families will be hit the hardest by forthcoming budget cuts.  In response, the Saga poll of more than 14,000 over 50s revealed more than one in six people cite roofing as the aspect most in need of repair and one in seven say their drainage and guttering needs fixing.

“People are living longer which means that retirement incomes have to stretch a lot further to keep up with inflation,” said Andrew Goodsell, Saga Group’s Executive Chairman.

“Many retirees find they need additional cash, whether it is to make every day life easier, fund house repairs, take the trip of a lifetime, or to contribute to care in later life.

Over one in seven when asked how they were going to finance the repairs said they could not afford it, 50 percent said they would use saving and fewer than one percent would ask family or friends for financial support.

London homes are suffering the most with 42 percent of Londoners in need of housing repairs.

    Early Payday Loans

To cover the costs of home maintenance consider an early payday loan.  Eligibility is based on a borrower’s ability to repay the loan by their next pay day.

Garden gnomes are making a comeback but as they do they are an increasing target for thieves a new survey reveals.  If your garden belongings have been stolen and your finances cannot stretch to replace them a national payday loan could help.

The age group 18-24 year olds account for 16 percent of ownership second only to the over 55s of who account for 18 percent the MORE TH>N Garden Study found.

However, as more celebrities adopt gnomes for their gardens including Rio Ferdinand, the act of stealing gnomes (‘gnoming’) becomes commonplace with 27 percent of owners claiming at least one of their ornaments have been stolen.

“In many ways gnomes are a British institution so it’s great to see they’re moving with the times and enjoying a resurgence,” said Pete Markey, MORE TH>N spokesperson.

“Gnoming is already a problem and it could become more prevalent if people don’t start taking the issue of garden security more seriously.  British gardens nowadays contain many valuable items and leaving them exposed is the outdoor equivalent of leaving the front door open, providing easy pickings for thieves.”

Garden theft is also not restricted to the garden gnome as the survey also showed 28 percent of us have experienced a theft with barbies, patio heaters to plants being swiped.

Security could have a huge impact on these figures as only 15 percent claimed the best they could do to protect their belongings was put them in an un-locked shed and 35 percent take no garden security at all.

    A National Payday Loan

To either fund the replacement of stolen garden belongings, or to buy a lockable storage facility to prevent it from happening, a national payday loan could help provide the funds.  Only £20 is charged per £80 borrowed and most people are eligible if they are in work and are able to repay the loan with their next pay check.

Brokers are fighting harder to get claims paid during the recession as insurers become stricter, new research shows.  If you are waiting on a claim and are experiencing cash flow problems as a result a 24 hour payday loan could help.

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) found 67 percent of broker respondents said they had to get tough with insurers on behalf of customers to get claims paid, as 93 percent regularly negotiate up to 20 percent uplift on claims settlements.

This situation has deteriorated since last year with almost a 10 percent increase in brokers admitting to having to fight harder due to stricter policy interpretations and anti fraud-systems by insurers.

“This is strong evidence to demonstrate the value of the broker and we plan to use this in every way that we can to promote brokers to wider world,” said Eric Galbraith, BIBA chief executive.

“I also recognise that with fraud being a major issue, there is a need for insurers to validate claims.  However these statistics seem to suggest a too frequent reduction in the amount offered in claims settlements.”

BIBA has shown the benefits of using a broker to settle claims as with one case the settlement on water damage put forward was £4,500 and after discussion it was eventually settled at £20,000.

    A 24 Hour Payday Loan

If you are struggling with cash flow problems as a result of an insurer failing to pay out on a claim, a 24 hour payday loan could pay for the costs or help you make ends meet before your next payday.  Up to £750 can be borrowed if you are over 18 and in employment.

Schools are being criticised by Citizens Advice Bureau today for ignoring the current economic climate and ignoring government guidance on keeping school uniform costs to a minimum.

If you are unable to provide the right uniform for your child with this month’s pay an instant approval payday loan could help pay for back to school items.

The national charity warned that too many schools are still insisting uniform be bought from an exclusive supplier instead of enabling cheaper options to be made available.  Worst still, it was found that sometimes the school itself compel parents to buy the uniform from them often at twice the price.

“In the current economic climate, and at a time when academies – many with expensive new uniforms – are springing up to replace existing schools, it’s all the more important that schools do what they can to keep costs down for families who are under severe financial pressure,” said Gillian Guy, Citizens Advice Bureau chief executive.

“By following simple, cost-cutting steps schools really can help families at this time of greatest need.  We want to see them making uniform available from a wide selection of suppliers or by offering iron-on and sew-on badges as options.”

Citizens Advice Bureau research also showed that Local Councils could do more to ease this burden with a massive 60% not offering any kind of uniform grant leaving parents to approach charities for support.

They also showed that little had changed since Department of Education research in 2007 showed 27% of families on an income less than £15,000 were spending more than 20% of this on school costs.  This is despite the Government guidance to Governors given in 2004 that ‘off the peg’ options should be available.

An average of £122 is expected to be spent on children’s back to school essentials this September research by LV= also found. Nearly half of parents expect to spend more on these items than last year – a total of £709 million is predicted to be dished out on school basics including uniforms, stationery, sportswear and winter coats.

An Instant Approval Payday Loan: Eligibility is based simply on your ability to repay the loan by your next payday.  Up to £750 can be borrowed at one time with a £20 charge per £80 borrowed.

An average of £122 is expected to be spent on children’s back to school essentials this September despite the nation still struggling in the recession.  If you are unable to provide the funds for a new school uniform a payday loan advance could cover the cost until your next pay day.

Nearly half of parents expect to spend more on these items than last year, however 27% plan to cut back on the amount of extracurricular activities they currently pay for according to new research by LV=.

A total of £709 million is predicted to be dished out on school basics including uniforms, stationery, sportswear and winter coats.  Parents living in London will be paying the most for the preparation with each family spending on average £158 per child, £30 more than the nation average.

“It is surprising that many parents are responding to increased money pressure this year by spending more on back to school basics; clearly kids come first despite the downturn,” said Mark Jones, LV= head of protection.

“It’s even more surprising that many parents are spending more despite looking at ways to be frugal and economise, by purchasing from cheaper suppliers such as their local supermarket or eBay.”

    Payday Loan Advance

Cost cutting solutions however are predicted to increase with 18% of parents suggesting they may persuade their children to walk to school instead of travel by car, and 16% are considering school dinners if they work out cheaper than packed lunches.

The Cost of a Child study by LV= released earlier this year also showed a parent is likely to shell out more than £201, 000 on raising a child from birth to the age of 21, amounting to £9,610 annually, £800 a month or £26 a day.

Female shopaholics have an average annual debt of £3,353 from shopping sprees with 74% using a combination of credit cards, overdrafts and loans to fund the addiction.  To prevent going into your overdraft and incurring hefty penalties a cheap payday loan could be a suitable alternative.

A massive four million women have unsecured debts of £13 billion in total and research carried out by uSwitch.com found 41% of them ignore their overdraft limit to purchase a ‘must have’ item.

Furthermore, it is not just women who are held in the grasps of overspending with what are termed ‘metrosexual’ men also embracing the new wave of internet shopping.  Three million male shopaholics have been revealed to have racked up shopping debts of £3,425 each.

“Despite the financial constraints, women have carried on copying the lifestyles and shopping habits of their idols and ignoring the debt they are racking up in the process,” said uSwitch.com director of consumer policy Ann Robinson.

“This spend-emic has spread and it’s clear that men too have caught on to the joys and perils of shopping.”

While women spend more on high street clothes, the research revealed men have more expensive taste spending over £570 annually on designer clothing which is nearly double the £300 of female shoppers.

Men have also been increasingly found to spend more on personal grooming with the average male dishing out an average £338 a year on skincare and cosmetics which is more than the female average of £191.

    A Cheap Payday Loan

Credit card bills and overdrafts can often come with hefty penalties and shopaholics could start to find it hard to get themselves out of debt.  With a cheap payday loan you are required to pay back the loan with your next pay check which limits your shopping habits to items you only really need but cannot afford before your next pay day.

Half of Brits leave their properties empty while away in the summer a new survey has found, making it an easy target for burglars.  If your house has been burgled or you are looking for funds to take out insurance, a loan until payday could cover costs not usually included in your monthly budget.

A huge 51% of Brits will leave their property empty in August and of these, almost a quarter admitted they would not ask a neighbour, friend or family member to keep an eye on their property while away M&S Money showed.

Worryingly, 17% of people admitted that they conceal keys outside their property at some point while away, and two thirds with neighbours, family, friends or someone such as a dog walker.

“With August being one of the most popular months for people to go away, we would urge homeowners to take appropriate steps to ensure their home is secure while they enjoy their holidays,” said Andrew Ferguson, M&S general insurance head.

“It is important that security measures you take are in line with the terms and conditions of your policy to ensure you have adequate cover should the worst happen.”

London was also recently found to have the highest reported burglaries in 2008/9 causing the 1 in 4 who have no home contents insurance to consider a loan until payday to fund the recovery.

This research by Yorkshire Bank Home Insurance of 375 Local Authorities found London had a total of 92,759 reported burglaries last year closely followed by 82,706 in the North West.

A Loan until Payday: short term cash loans – you can apply online and borrow up to £750, with no faxing or paperwork required.

Bargain hunters searching the web for special offers are likely to spend as much as 50% more online than the value of the discount, new research reveals. If you are on the look out to bag a deal consider an express payday loan to cover an expensive month.

New research from PayPal found 43million of us constantly look for promotions – an increase of 1.5million from 2009 and an indication of how people are coping in the current economic climate.

A further three in five shoppers have used discount vouchers or codes in the last six months and over half of online browsers look for slashed prices on even the small purchases.

“Online bargain hunters are often the biggest spenders,” commented Cameron McLean, PayPal UK Merchant Services general manager.

“That’s good news for retailers, as they recognise that lower prices can be good for business.  But it’s also great for a new generation of shoppers who expect to get better value for money.”

Women unsurprisingly are the biggest culprits when it comes to bargain hunting with 93% always on the lookout compared to 84% of men.

A massive 18 million British adults were categorised as obsessively looking for bargains using every money-saving tool available, and the 25-44 age group were the most likely to act this way while one in 6 over 65s hardly every do.

“I think most people are looking to make their money go further rather than cutting back,” said Sue Hayward, author and personal finance journalist who contributed to the report.

Londoners and people in the West Midlands are the least thrifty with 13% of them rarely seeking out a deal as opposed to the South West and Wales where 41% of shoppers admit obsessive promotion shopping.

    Express Payday Loans

For bagging that bargain or shopping when the prices are low an express payday loan is a suitable short term option to aid cash flow between paydays.  Payday bank offers up to £750 for which there is a £20 charge per £80 borrowed.

A massive 65 million Brits are heading abroad for cosmetic surgery this summer and 69% of them are doing so to cut costs.  If you are scraping together your savings for cosmetic surgery, a fast payday advance loan could help make-up the extra in the short term.

A substantial number also want to incorporate the surgery into a holiday, or as 10% of those surveyed admitted, to avoid NHS waiting lists – specialist currency broker Currencies.co.uk research found.

The company revealed people on average save £14,500 on general surgery abroad, £4,000 on cosmetic surgery and £740 on dental procedures.

“Going abroad for medical treatment is becoming increasingly popular for a number of reasons, not least because of the huge savings that can be achieved,” said Stephen Hughes, Currencies.co.uk director.

“The total outlay for medical treatment overseas can still be very expensive once everything is included.”

Due to the Sterling performing well against Eastern European currencies recently, those going to Hungary, Poland or Croatia for surgery could save a substantial amount.  The average cost of dental implants abroad is £625 – less than a quarter of the UK cost of £2,700.

    A Fast Payday Advance Loan

If a sparkling full set of gnashers are your goal this summer then a payday loan could cover the costs completely of this dental procedure abroad.  Up to £750 can be borrowed from Payday Bank at any one time and is usually repaid from the person’s next pay cheque, so if it is a last minute idea, having the savings to hand need not get in the way.

Londoners are the most likely to claim on their home insurance for theft even though a Manchester postcode is the most affected by the crime, new research shows.  If you have been victim of theft a faxless payday loan could help replace stolen items.

Over 1.1million home insurance enquiries by moneysupermarket.com found that Chorlton-Cum-Hardy in Manchester is the overall top spot for the most ‘at-risk’ postcodes.

London however, held ten of the 20 postcodes most likely to have a claim made for theft, accounting for a 100% increase from last year.

“Home is where the heart is and there’s no denying that having it burgled is an emotional and frightening experience,” said moneysupermarket head of home insurance Julie Owens.

“It is clear that no matter where you live, there is always a risk your home could become a victim of theft.”

Approximately 600,000 burglaries are reported annually, with up to 150,000 of them not being covered by home contents insurance, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks research found.  The average claim is just over £1,200 with the total cost to these victims amounting to almost £200million each year.

    A Faxless Payday Loan

If you either have no home contents insurance or would rather not make a small claim on it, and you have been recently burgled it is worth considering a faxless payday loan.  Between £80-700 can borrowed – enough to replace essential items that you may have lost and cannot quite afford with this month’s pay.
