Remember the gadgets you thought you couldn't live without?
Payday Loans

In our advancing technological times, it's hard to keep up with the latest gadgets and tech trends. Your (great) grandparents were (and possibly still are) happy with the old fashioned radio and record player. Why are we now so obsessed with keeping up with the latest and fastest gadgetry? And can payday loans fast help?

Because of this incredible demand and the speed new devices are produced, its no wonder some of those old gadgets that promised so much quickly faded away. Lets get nostalgic and take a look at those gadgets that we had so much hope for but didn't live up to the evolution of technology.

Walkman

Before Steve Jobs and Apple, the word iPod conjured up thoughts of exotic vegetables. Just a few decades ago everyone was 'rocking' a walkman to listen to their favourite tunes. At first, this was a fantastic experience - being able to walk to the shop or to work listening to music.

Cheap Payday loans - a money saving option

When you know that money is going to be tight until your next payday you could call upon payday loans. Taking out payday loans fast to prevent you from exceeding your overdraft can actually save you over £100 in a month.

Some banks charge you up to £150 for exceeding your overdraft by £160 over a month. Whereas cheap payday loans for £160 over the same amount of time can cost just £40.

With some banks still charging up to £5 a day for exceeding your overdraft we see payday loans fast becoming one of the better options to save money. Cheap payday loans are for short term borrowing needs only and should only be considered if you can pay back the money on the agreed date.

However, the walkman was a large, clunky gadget that played the risky music tape and often broke.

The walkman quickly advanced to cd's (portable disk player) but again problems arose, such as the constant skipping of a song if you moved ever so slightly – essentially defeating the object of a portable walkman. Eventually, the walkman lost the battle when mp3 players and the mighty iPod came out. Now the walkman is only used as a retro fashion accessory.

MP3 Player

Although this was the upgrade to the walkman and portable disk player, the MP3 had a difficult time establishing itself. As with most great inventions they are often quickly replaced with better models and functions. The MP3 was the starting point for a better portable music experience but as the MP3 was making its mark, Apple came along with the ipod and quickly laid the MP3 player to rest. The sleek look of the ipod, plus its easy usability and endless supply of gigabytes, meant the MP3 player had little chance of survival against such a powerhouse like Apple.

Camera

The camera is still of course a useful gadget but with the improving functions on smart phones the need for a point-and-shoot camera are diminishing. Many are using smart phones for most of their entertainment needs - music, camera, internet - but to experience excellent photography you still have to use the high performance cameras. So, although cameras are still very much required, the market is certainly dwindling with every smart phone upgrade.

The latest trends are of course tablet computers and 3D TV's but what does the future hold. With this fast output of new technology and gadgetry how will we know when to upgrade? Maybe our grandparents were right – stick with what works.
