Baffled by energy bills?

Confused about energy bills, how they're calculated and how much you should really be paying? You are not alone!

Research from uSwitch recently found that energy bills are particularly confusing, along with home phone bills and water bills. Bills such as council tax and credit cards were found to be the easiest for people to get their heads round. Can payday loans UK help you with these?

Say what?

Gobbeldygook and a lack of clarity seem to be the main causes for concern, with just 39% saying that energy bills are worded clearly and a similar amount saying it's clear how bills are calculated. Disappointing when you consider the fact that Payday UK consumers spend an average of £1,243 a year on their energy bills. Less than half of those surveyed by uSwitch said that the name of the energy plan they were on was simple to understand.

Which? went as far as to submit some horror household bills to the Plain English Campaign – needless to say these word warriors were not impressed. They were particularly irked by the nonsensical use of terms such as 'calorific value' and 'normal primary units' on energy bills and instances of minus signs being used to denote a credit amount made them despair even further.

Which? also conducted a customer satisfaction survey and found that the big six energy suppliers received some of the worst customer satisfaction scores Which? had seen.

Quick Loans to keep you on top of bills

If you're short of cash, a pay day loan can be just what you need, whether you've simply run out of money for essentials or a big purchase has come up that you hadn't planned for. Fast payday loans can be the ideal answer to short-term cash flow problems.

The purpose of these pay day loans is to provide a relatively small loan over a short period. Even if you have bad credit, you could still be eligible for fast payday loans and they could even help you repair a damaged credit history.

Payday Loans UK usually come with an agreement that you will repay the loan in full the next time you get paid. You must be careful to draw up a detailed budget and only borrow what you can afford to comfortably repay from your next pay cheque.

Martyn Hocking, Editor of Which? magazine, said: "Consumers aren't going to be able to reduce their energy use or find the best deal if they don't understand what's going on. Bills need to be much clearer, and better customer service from the energy companies wouldn't go amiss either."

Help on the way?

Recent reports suggest that help could be on the horizon, with speculation in the media that Co-Op may be about to start offering domestic energy. The organisation is also predicted to be going to try and position itself as an ethical supplier which charges clearly and sells responsibly.

It has been suggested that if Co-Op does enter the energy market it will have the cash and customer base to really get the green and ethical energy sector off the ground.

Quick Loans and Payday Loans for Short Term Borrowing

Payday loans UK are for short term borrowing needs only and before you consider applying you must ensure you can pay back the money on the agreed date otherwise charges can mount up.

Payday loans are worth considering when you feel excessive bank charges could mount up and send you into debt, but always carefully consider all the options available to you and avoid getting yourself into further financial trouble.

Payday loans UK are intended to be a short term solution, rather than a long term solution. They are rapidly becoming a more popular option, and tend to have high approval ratings amongst their customers. However, they can be misused as well. It's important to make sure that payday loans UK are the right option for you when you apply. Don't forget that you won't be under any obligations if you apply, even if you are accepted. You will only be under any obligation if you accept the online agreement once it has been sent to you.
