1. Security Guard
Security guards work almost everywhere. They determine who is allowed to enter and check who leaves. They need to be communicative, calm in a crisis, and alert. Earning between £6.00 and £20.00 an hour depending on the company, most security guards work unsociable hours.
2. Post Person
Drivers and Posties earn between £6.50 and £13.00 per hour. They also get plenty of fresh air and if they deliver post on foot, they get plenty of exercise, but the English weather could dampen your spirits.
3. High Street Banker
Successful high school graduates can work in a high street bank. Generally, a calm and conservative job, you'd need to look smart and be good with customers. Salaries start at around £18,000 per year.
4. Builder/Labourer
If you like physical work, then labouring can be a lucrative choice. You could earn in excess of £50 a day for your efforts. If you get qualified as a builder, you can earn over £150 a day.
5. Secretary or Admin Assistant
Want a 'quiet office job'? You'll need to know your way around Microsoft programs and have good literacy and numeracy. Simple secretarial and admin roles can pay from £6.00 to £12.00 per hour depending on where the company is based and what the role entails.

7. Library Assistant
A librarian must go to university but a library assistant is only a supporting role, so they don't have to. Common sense, good numeracy, and literacy and great people skills are all important. Library Assistants earn between £7.00 and £10.00 per hour.
8. Photographer
Good with a camera? You could work taking wedding photographs or even set up your own business. Photographers can earn up to £120 a day!
9. Sales Person
Got the gift of the gab? If you're goal motivated, sales could be for you. Sales people get huge bonuses and they are persuasive, punctual, and polite. You could be earning up to £30K per year, plus bonuses.
10. Recruiter
Can't beat them? Join them. Short courses in recruitment could help you get started or even an internship with a good agency. Recruiters earn bonuses just like sales people and can also earn up to £30k within their first 3 years on the job.
